Nothing works the way it should, how we imagined. It wasn’t this. Whatever this is, is not what they sold us.
I could write a list. I won’t. I don’t want to bore you. There’s no point adding to your woes. And they are tedious in the desire to try and smile through it. Even if I can’t.
And I should be doing okay. I am ticking several boxes, according to those who would like you to think they are in the know. But what they don’t know is that it is not that simple.
Things could always get worse, of course, the optimist in me likes to see the good in the moment I am in by remembering that it is downhill from here.
It wasn’t easy on the way up. In decline I’m freewheeling.
